Earth Plastering Weekends - Golden Bay
23 May and  30-31 May, 2009
Come out and learn about applying earth plasters to strawbale. You can put it on with your hands or a trowel - it's easy and fun. Plastering your own home is a great way to save money and make your home construction more affordable. You will see how you and your friends can easily have a party during your plastering. Please call to confirm your place.

Update: 28 June: All our workshops are over and the house is nearly completed. We had a great time with over 60 people coming to help - some from Antarctica! We had several wonderful weekend wall raising workshops and a plastering party weekend. Everyone had a great time. Interior painting, plumbing and electrical work are being done and we expect to be completely finished in less than a month. Earth Plastering Workshop/Workparty
Location: 911 Highway 60, Takaka, Golden Bay, South Island
Come out to this free workshop and learn about earth plasters while plastering the inside of a real strawbale home. Learn how to mix and apply earth plasters using trowels and your hands. Everyone at our workshops has always enjoyed playing with the mud! Free lunch provided - bring a plate - so come and have fun at this day long plastering party! Update! A Great Success - everyone enjoyed getting muddy and we plastered all the walls planned - and then some more! Thanks to everyone who came for a job well done.
