Consulting Services

The Sustainable Building Alliance offers complete architecture and design services to take your home from start to finish. We offer custom plans and all construction drawings ready to submit for your building consent. Whatever style you're thinking about, from cottage to modern, with rounded walls and arch top windows, it can be included in your design. We can also do plan reviews (of your own design) to make sure your design is built with the most up-to-date techniques. Please e-mail us with your request.

Our fees are competitive with other services in the sustainable design field that offer a high standard of work. We think a well designed home is the first and best place to save you money in your home construction and over the lifespan of your home will add value to your investment. Fees are charged at a flat rate based on the size and complexity of each project. Confirmation of costs will be given after an initial consultation. Site visits or complete project management services, if desired or necessary, are charged separately. Other consultants such as surveyors or engineers can be hired for you when required and are additional to our services.

We also can work with your architect to assist with the strawbale design portion of your house providing all the technical details of strawbale building. (we have a very limited number of times in our schedule for this, so please call us for details and availability.)
